Azure Latch controls are state-dependent. A button can change when you have the ball, stand near an airborne ball, combine a direction, enter Flow, or occupy the goalkeeper role. If an input appears to fail, identify the state first.
Field player keyboard controls
- M1 / left click: shoot or play the basic ball action. Charge, aim, and current context affect the result.
- 1, 2, 3, 4, 5: Style skills. Each Style card defines possession, target, aerial, and Flow requirements.
- E with the ball: dribble. Use it to protect a committed touch rather than as a permanent sprint.
- E without the ball: official cards describe a Normal/Techniques state. Check the current indicator before attempting a header-related action.
- Q: tackle in ordinary field play.
- A + Q or D + Q: side dash left or right.
- F: speed burst.
- G: activate Flow/Awakening when available.
- R: call for a pass/whistle action according to the current interface.
- Space: rainbow flick in normal field context; airborne/header states can change how Space is used.
- B: emote wheel according to the official mechanics list.
The official Experience description directly confirms M1, 1–5, Q, R, and E. The creator-linked Trello provides the additional mechanic cards. Exact cooldowns and buffering are deliberately omitted here because recent official edits show those details can change.
Airborne ball controls
The official board has separate Header and Volley cards. A header requires you to meet the ball in an airborne state with the appropriate head/technique context. A volley uses M1 near an airborne ball. A curve shot is documented with A or D plus M1 while looking upward.
Do not mash multiple inputs as the ball arrives. Decide whether you want to control, head, volley, or let the ball fall. Your camera angle and distance determine whether the intended state exists. Read Shooting for a practice route.
Goalkeeper keyboard controls
- Space: jump block for high balls.
- Q: forward dive.
- A + Q: left dive.
- D + Q: right dive.
- T: Super Throw after gaining the relevant goalkeeper possession state.

Style and T-special inputs
Many current Styles add a T special, passives, or repeated-number branches. Mastery Kaiser, for example, has an Emperor T-special and branches on numbered slots. Mastery Aiku uses a Burglar Radar T-special, and Mastery Don Lorenzo uses Price Check.
Read the current Style card before practising. Pressing a number once, pressing it again, combining T, or using it on/off ball can select different variants. The universal control list cannot replace the kit-specific requirement lines.
Mobile and controller status
The public official description does not provide a stable complete mobile or controller map. Independent guides publish device layouts, but community posts also show that remapped controller users can end up with different binds. Therefore mobile/controller mappings are Community reported and needs in-game testing.
On mobile, use the labels and icons visible in the current HUD. On controller, open Settings, inspect every binding, and take a screenshot before remapping. Change one action at a time, then test it in a safe session. If a reset option is absent, manual recovery is easier when you still have the original map recorded.
Troubleshoot an input
- Check whether you have the ball and whether it is grounded or airborne.
- Confirm your role: field player or goalkeeper.
- Read the Style move requirement and cooldown indicator.
- Release other held directions and try one clean input.
- Check whether the move expects a nearby teammate, opponent, or specific Style.
- Rejoin a current server if an update changed input handling.
- For controller, inspect remaps and Roblox device detection.
- For mobile, confirm the button is not covered by another interface element.
Azure Latch has an official Input Buffering card, so a buffered press may execute later than expected. Test the same input several times under the same state before deciding it is broken.
Useful control drills
Possession drill: receive, turn the camera, tap a pass or shot, then move. Add E only after the normal touch works.
Defense drill: approach goal side, wait, press Q once, then recover. Add side dash only to correct the lane.
Air drill: create a gentle airborne ball and alternate header and volley attempts. Do not combine them in the same attempt.
Goalkeeper drill: start centered, choose left/right/forward before pressing Q, then distribute with a safe throw or pass after the save.
Style drill: choose one numbered on-ball move and one off-ball move. Say the requirement before each attempt.

What does E do?
E dribbles while you carry the ball. The official board separately describes E without the ball as a Normal/Techniques state.
What does Q do?
Q tackles for field players, combines with A/D for side dashes, and controls goalkeeper dive direction in the goalkeeper role.
How do I activate Awakening?
Press G when Flow is available. The resulting move access depends on the equipped Style and current ball state.
Why is a numbered move grey?
It may require possession, off-ball state, an airborne ball, a target, a field area, Flow, or a completed cooldown.
Can I trust an old controller screenshot?
Use it only as a lead. Roblox device prompts, game settings, and personal remaps can differ. The current settings screen is the final authority.
